Dorm rooms can be changed into double or family rooms very easily.
Double rooms can have another mattress placed in them for a child
Camping indoors is a safe bet in Ireland. We have 24 tents that we can put up so suit your needs. We also have 14 permanent, what used be called DAY BEDS around the perimetre of the circle. These also act as benches and storage space. For Retreats Rehearsals Workshops or Unique parties you can put or take away as many of these tents as you like

The Sauna is wood powered from forest gathered wood. It takes 2 hours to heat up. The Mad can run from it either into the adjacent shower or a little further to a big cold plunge pool. Ideal for moonlit frosty nights.
Bathroom Water goes into septic tank then into a metre deep pea gravel reed bed pit which then flows through 2 further reed & bullrush beds before percolating into the landscape innocently
The biggest windows in the building are in the kitchen as it faces directly south looking over Lough Arrow
Astronomy Ireland have used our upper observatory to view the Heavens. This upper loft area also has an excellent library and is naturally warm all day from the passive solar heat of its 12 sided roof light

ACCOMMODATION & SAUNA

 

- 6 bedded dorm that can be mixed or single sex as required.  There are 2 of these dorms

Breakfast Available for groups of 7 or more for €7

is a big hearty porridge, organic duck eggs, home made jams & fruit, fair trade coffee/ tea

 

- 2 x small double-bed rooms for couples.

- 12 capsule like tents in the big central hall which are mostly for when large groups want to take the building.  These tents area ideal for singles, twins or doubles.

- SAUNA!!!
Small, very good Estonian sauna! Perfect for relaxing and forgetting dodgie weather.

 

Shared bathrooms.  Water is heated from wind power. if there is no wind, it is heated from geothermal heat pump powered from Airtricity ( itself wind power)

 

A large kitchen is available for self-catering groups and individual travellers.
Part of the kitchen is a living room area. Catering can be arranged on request for larger groups and parties.

There is a cosy central hearth area in the middle of the Hall. This Hall is 50 feet in diametre and tiled with flagstones, warmed from geothermally powered heat pump skirting through 3/4 km of pipework beneath the field outside.
